Agriculture Professional
Philip John Akwayamai is an Agriculture professional with a Master’s degree in Crop Protection from Modibbo Adama University and a Bachelor’s degree in Crop Production from Adamawa state University Mubi. He holds certificates in Project Management, African Food Security and Livelihood, and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL). Philip has published many articles in both national and international journals. He has worked in various roles including Research Assistant, Project Assistant, and Program Assistant with Nuru Nigeria, where he implemented projects to support farmers in northern and central Adamawa State by providing agricultural inputs and training to improve livelihoods and build resilient farmer-owned businesses thereby equipping farmer cooperatives with essential agricultural inputs like seeds, inoculants, fertilizers, and crop protection products, alongside delivering training on climate-smart regenerative agriculture, financial literacy, and business development which aimed to increase farmer incomes, promote sustainable livelihoods, foster gender equity, and build community resilience against conflict, climate change, and poverty and establishing strong market linkages and supporting inclusive economic growth, especially empowering women and marginalized groups for long-term positive impact. He also served as an Agricultural Field Officer with Reelfruits Nigeria and as a Data Enumerator with Data Frontier. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Agriculture (Crop Protection) at Modibbo Adama University, Yola.
